As the name suggests, these dishes are perfect for all types of baking as well as pasta bakes, lasagnas, etc. Of course these dishes are also perfect for baking sweet treats like fruit cakes or strudels, and much more. They come in a variety of sizes and colours and are made from robust enamel. The dishes have rounded rims – known as a rolled rim in enamel terms – which are created by bending the metal during the manufacturing process to form a rounded and stable rim. The casserole dish can be used in any type of oven. But remember to always use potholders!

Enamel is made from iron fused with glass at high temperatures, therefore it’s made from natural raw materials.  Riess enamel cookware is suitable for use with all types of cookers (gas, electric, ceramic, induction and even open flame). Thanks to the iron core, the heat is conducted quickly and is then retained. This ensures sustainable, energy-efficient cooking and baking.

The non-porous, smooth, glass surface guarantees perfect hygiene, as it’s flavour-neutral, prevents bacteria growth and is easy to clean. When used and cared for properly, enamel cookware can provide years of cooking enjoyment and will maintain it's characteristic glossy appearance.  For use and care tips see:  https://www.riess.at/en/use-care/roasting/

Please note:

  • If you drop or hit enamelware with something it won’t break but may chip.
  • If the outer porcelain layer does chip, the steel beneath naturally oxidises and the enamelware remains safe to use.
  • Never heat enamelware without contents as this may cause the base to warp.
  • Always choose a hob on a stove top with the most suitable diameter that is not too small.
  • Always heat up gradually, turn it up slowly and then reduce the heat again. Do not use the boost function on induction stoves.
  • Sudden changes in temperature, such as soaking in water after heating may cause cracks or breakage.
  • It is recommended to clean enamelware by hand. For tougher stains soak bicarbonate soda or lemon juice on the stain for half an hour and wash as normal.
  • Avoid using harsh cleaning products or aids such as steel wool or scourers as these can scratch the surface.
