Collection: Iris Hantverk

The Iris Hantverk company produces high quality handmade household items using techniques that date back to the 19th century. Enlisting the skills of top designers to conceptualise their products, they hire and support visually impaired craftspeople who create these meticulously assembled pieces.

The time-honoured techniques of traditional Swedish craftsmanship have been used by Iris Hantverk for more than a hundred years. Their 14 employees still draw every brush by hand in Sweden and Estonia, and use natural materials almost exclusively. Backs and handles are made of birch, oak or beech. The bristles are made of various materials such as horsehair, goat hair, Tampico fibre and piassava fibre, depending on their use.
