Made in Tasmania using traditional tin-making methods, the S.G. Emmett Bar Tin is individually cut, notched, folded and joined by hand, with each seam carefully hammered over an anvil. A rolled wire edge adds strength and durability to the finished tin.
This traditional method allows S.G. Emmett to use thin-gauge metal, creating neat, clean edges that are particularly appreciated by cake decorators. The thin metal also helps heat distribute evenly, encouraging consistent baking and beautifully even results.
With proper care, S.G. Emmett tins will develop character and provide many years of service.

Care:
The tin is coated with a thin layer of cooking oil to protect it. Hand wash in warm water with mild soap or detergent and avoid harsh abrasives. Dry thoroughly in a warm oven.
To season, coat the tin with a very thin layer of olive oil and place upside down in a cold oven. Heat the oven to very hot and bake for 20 minutes, then allow the tin to cool. Repeat if desired.
