Maru Teapot Side Handle

The Maru Side Handle Teapot is designed for the simple pleasure of making and sharing good tea. Crafted in Japan by skilled artisans, it is made by blending cobalt pigment with china clay before firing, creating a deep black finish that is both understated and timeless.

The unglazed interior allows the character of the tea to shine through without imparting unwanted flavours, while the generous shape gives tea leaves ample room to unfurl and release their full aroma. A finely crafted ceramic infuser, formed with tiny perforations, filters the tea effectively while resisting clogging.

Each lid is individually fitted through a traditional process known as lid rubbing, creating an exceptionally close fit that is both leak-resistant and highly airtight. Thoughtfully designed to pour smoothly to the very last drop—the prized "golden drop"—it is a teapot that elevates the everyday tea ritual.
