Penelope Durston Possum and Merino Wool Sock Natural Medium

The yarn for these socks has been specially spun in New Zealand from fine merino and Brushtail possum fibres. It has been treated so that you can machine wash these. Mind you as a natural wool fibre sock they don’t need to be washed after every wear.

Just like their Angora/lambswool gloves these are knitted in their studio in Fitzroy and they use Japanese lycra yarn for stretch and return. Penelope has created three sizes (small, medium and large) but they have a great deal of stretch so they are super forgiving and if you are in between sizes it might be worth opting for the smaller size.

The cuff has been designed not to pinch on the calf and is a mock rib that is super comfy to wear. Penelope knows this is an issue for many of you so they’ve tried to make it as comfy as possible.
